Puppy Classes
Tender Care Animal Hospital provides a variety of options for dogs of all ages and skill sets. The class that is currently offered is Obedience Level 1. We are also pleased to offer extended Fear-Free exams and nail trims or private behavior sessions for those who are looking for an individualized experience.
Caitlin, one of our Certified Veterinary Technicians, will be instructing these sessions. Caitlin has a wide variety of experience in animal behavior. In the past, her primary focus was on training horses and has since started to focus on the companion animal side of behavior and is excited to help you and your pets understand and communicate with each other more effectively. Caitlin is also certified through the Dog Guru’s—Knowing Dogs Level 101, Level 201 and Group Play. She has certification in the Basic and Advanced levels through the International Boarding & Pet Services Association. She is Fear-Free certified, participates in the Veterinary Care Elite program, CPR certified through the Recover Initiative, and has a strong desire to help develop your skills in basic obedience behaviors such as sit, down, stand, stay, come, leave it and heel. A great deal of time will be spent on house and social manners. Unwanted barking, jumping up and other problem causing behaviors will be addressed as well. All ages are welcome.
